Nice sunny day 11ºc
So hard to deny the beauty in this shot David Antony! :) No need to be an excellent golf player on this golf course because I wouldn't mind hitting the ball and finding it has just dipped into the pool of water at all. I'd spend my time watching the reflections and those trees sway with the wind.... :)

David, I like the fishing Heron.

Grey, with light rain today here in Northumberland, and a chilly wind.

Grey Cloud, 7°C 45°F, Wind South Easterly 14mph 23km/h, Humidity: 95%, Pressure: 1001mb falling, Visibility: Poor.

Specialist beach attire is called for, especially when paddling :D .

Hehe - the trick is to keep moving :D . When you live so far from the sea-side normally (about 100 miles which is about as far as you can in the UK) then you have to take every opportunity that you can. The splashes are as a result of "wave jumping"; you jump over each successive wave as it comes toward you, but the waves need to be very small when you are little!

We have a rainy day with a chilling wind in Istanbul. Haven't got a photo at the moment.

12° C | 7° C

Lovely heron and good reflection David! The surface is almost mirror-perfect. :)

Birma;

She's getting a handful of life's challenges so early in life! :D But appears to be happy about it. Hopefully she got warmed up safely afterwards.

I'm amazed how she grew up so fast and got so tall too. She must be taking after you as judging by some of your photos you're a pretty tall person yourself.

Well, the photo is not from today but from yesterday.

No sunshine today but a chilling wind that carries raindrops.
12° C highest and will be 7° C tonight.

The photo is of the Istinye Park Shopping Mall entrance. I was there to see a 3D movie at their IMAX movie theatre. No photo from the interior, but maybe next time. :)

Yildiz

ps. I deliberately left the distortions unaltered in this shot.

Hazy & 10ºc

Looks like she is standing on a surfboard dealing with the waves,
having lots of fun. Another fine shot Birma.

Architects are having a ball over there Yildiz,
also the photographer ;^) Nice capture

That crystal horse at Belsay is only a drive away - and Belsay hall (not the castle, they are a fifteen-walk apart through an amazing quarry full of ferns which looks wonderful in the rain) has the world's most fantastic reverberating cellars. I am afraid I upset Shirley by singing the first four notes of 'Jerusalem' (not with words!) and timed the echo at 5 seconds (in the middle of which you get what sounds like a choir with all the notes in harmony).

Belsay also has a very good cafe and one 'sandwich' (actually half a Northumberland stottie filled and with a respectable salad) would really have done both Shirley and me, but we didn't know that until the two huge sandwiches arrived. We just didn't have any dinner when we got home.

I like the Heron shot as well DA, I somehow missed saying so before.

There sure are some imaginative architects over in your neck of the woods Yildiz, I think you did the right thing with keeping the perspective 'as is' in that shot.

Nice shots all, Birma your little girl is looking so intently at the splashes, as if she is contemplating catching one!
It has been cloudy here for the last couple days, but I stepped out to check the weather today, to check it against the paper. The sky wasn't quite the colors that the map showed however, but the temperature forecast was accurate.
Cloudy, 5-10mph breeze, lower 50's. A200 with Sigma 10-20. John

Great shot John - love it :D .

We did make it to Belsay (as the other threads show) - we didn't go down to the cellars and so missed that echo, which is a shame as Tilly loves an echoing space, but this can get a bit embarassing as she is not (yet?) very tuneful :D .
