. We visited Belsay; the castle, hall and gardens. It was really foggy which made the gardens very atmospheric. We were put in mind of a Tim Burton film set, and I was interested to read in Paul Murphy's Belsay thread that DK said that gardens were a bit like a film set 
. I could have spent many more hours wandering around with the camera, but a 2 year old's patience will only stretch so far 
. When the gardens are in full bloom it must be amazing.
I was recently reading a piece on 'chemtrails' which was basicaly asking what the hell are they? Any aircraft engine produces warm air which leaves a vapour trail in the colder upper atmosphere. Typically they last from 10 minutes to an hour depending on prevailing conditions. But these days you are quite likely to see trails that hang around for hours and don't so much evaporate as spread out thinning to a haze as they do.KevinBarrett wrote:Pity about the jet contrail in the first two,those people should've taken a boat instead.
