BTW, I'm sure everybody's happy when you're outside. So do promenades much more often.

Ok! More happy walks for me then...to create more happy people. As a rule of my nature, when I see good architecture or good people or good environments, I am happy as a bee around a nice flower...and I must be generating good vibes at such times.
I've been seen poff-poffing in disapproval when in bad circumstances too, as a bad sign of what I may be considering bad...very bad! Balancing those extremes though.

I just realized that the photo depicts a 'Carnation of liberty' with the star in the background...

I especially like that last shot of the mower guy-street scene with the Tulip beds, two different colour Tulips..good one. (and here's some poff-poffing for good measure Yildiz, standing in the middle of the road with your back too the insane traffic, to 'get' that shot...that's scary, drivers run off the road/run into things, putting their makeup on, spilling their coffee, dropping their cig, texting, adjusting the radio....). And we would never know what happened.

I try to keep an eye on the flow of the traffic at all times. Not only the drivers but the traffic police can make mistakes too. Like, interfering with the light-change-rotation duration and starting the traffic in the wrong direction all too soon to the hazard of the pedestrians who are caught in the middle of the road while crossing the street...
I've had the undesirable experience and had to run the rest of the distance...when safely on the walkway, I turned around looked the officer directly in the eye, eyebrows raised. What was he thinking ? Murdering me without having to take the blame?

Anyone can stray in and around traffic, because it is just boring after the first half hour and we must all be careful.

Hi Bossel,

They are great. Their colour is very interesting, and lots of fine details and I can see them eyeing the photographer.

The view in the background is great too, even though a little blurry.

Thanks Birma and Aster - yes, I was in read only mode for a while. Some infection of the bowels took too many weeks to get better Then some renovation works at home

However I need to be fit for April 22nd, for the Sony World Photography Awards 2010 in Cannes. David was so kind to transfer his invitation to me, so I'll be going to the gala evening and awards ceremony

Thanks Doc & David. The weather and the light were really good last monday and I hope it will be again tomorrow . The sun is the photographers friend, nothing more to say!!!

We will go to Nice tomorrow, which is even better if you can eat normally again! Unfortunately, the restaurants on the beach are expensive and hard to get in without reservation (we failed on Monday ). But hey, summer is coming, the air is nice, blue skies and I am happy!

Things are beautiful today here in North Texas 21C, winds SE 11mph, 28% humidity. Here are Emma, her friend Jasmine, and Ellie. The girls were in the garden playing and...."posing" I used the 28-85 and onboard flash.

Great Dove photos Bossel, funny how birds with their non bino vision have to check out something with each eye...just to be sure. (good to see you're on the mend).

Nice sharp Kid photos there John..hmm that woofer looks more Dobbish than Labbish I think..

DA if we had those majestic mountains as a backdrop at the golf course I might even be pursuaded to have a hack more often...
