Young farmers rally

Unread post by paulmurphy »

Something different for me, I was asked to judge the photographic competition at a young farmers rally today, so I hung around and took some photos of the procedings afterwards.

What a great bunch of people and a nice event to attend. I post some more pics to this thread later as I get though them but I thought I'd show a few to give a taste

Pillow fighting - those straw filled water logged sacks were heavy and they were sitting on a log over a water pool

Image

The overall rally had a circus theme

Image

Traditional event - tug of war, really exciting to watch - the eventual winners Haltwistle who were awesome

Best wishes

I loved the last one. Especially the three gents in the back having a "synchronized" leg lift.
I wish the face of the last gentleman was not clipped. It certainly seemed like lot of fun.

With best regards,

Just look at those water drops in the air (first picture). Excellent capture Paul.
I'm sure you have more.

Those guys are certainly serious about their tug of war, and the photo has captured that very well, great shots Murph.

Hi Paul,

My selection would be Haltwistle with Tug-of-War, also. That looks like a winning tug indeed. Nice, bright colours and light bring out each expression into view.

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks for the comments guys, I thought you might like to see a few more - I've still got a load to get through and am still finding new images I like.

I love the intensity and focus of this competitor

Not all of the tug of war competitors were male

Some of the crowd were wild!

Hope you like these also
