Kamehameha Schools music video

Unread post by bakubo »

This music video was recently made by students at Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii. Really cool and fun to watch. They all did a great job making this! It just keeps getting better as it goes along and the songs change.

I first saw this in the Honolulu newspaper. It said the students all had a whole lot of fun making the video.

I didn't know of the lip-dub vids on YouTube before this. Lot of work, and an odd choice of music from Fife to California... no Kamakawiwo'ole though :-(

Yes, I had similar thoughts, but like teenagers everywhere, they are more interested in what is popular among teenagers in general. When they get older an interest in local music and traditions will probably be kindled or rekindled.

I had not heard the term lip dub until I saw this video. Now I realize it is new fad.

Although not exactly a lip dub, I made this rap video for the 4th of July, Independence Day -- well, maybe I didn't do it all :) :

That was fun! Took an age to load though.

It indeed was fun, Henry. :)

Had no idea you were into such animations and lip dubbed mini movies.

Thanks for sharing,

I didn't really make it. On the website you just add a couple of head photos to it and then it does the rest. :)

By the way, I needed another head photo so decided to use a photo of one of my Japanese co-workers in Tokyo from a few years ago. I sent the video to him too, but didn't say anything. He thought it was funny when he saw that he was in the video too. :)
