Good capture of the bighorn sheep Tom.
I had hoped to see some around Lake Louise, but they
now have an eight foot fence along the park hwy to protect
wildlife.

Thanks Aster, I had to check my Exif as to the time, you are
right it was good light for that time, when I got to Banff it
was 8:45 mountain time & the sun was bright.

Couple more.

On the way back just passed the BC. border at a rest rest area.

Oo I really like that Glacier DA, again lovely scenery, I almost would like that first one in portrait two or three shot pano, I reckon that would be really impressive.

Birma thats the way to go with a motor home. A lot of Europeans
are coming here for that kind of holiday and loving it. When your
daughter gets a bit older maybe?

Ladner had a quilt and car show today. I went long after it finished.
But there were still a few cars and the odd tractor around. ;^)

Here is a 1954 Golden Jubilee Ford Tractor. Appropriately parked alongside museum.
This one owned by Richard Lowe. Don't know him.

That's an interesting set of photos from BC, DA, wow lookit that early Ford tractor, looks like new, I can not see a blemish on it.
Yep the Hudson is a resto's dream, a few man hours involved there though probably.
We have those Einsteins here as well that do burnout whatevers for no reason, the cops have impounded nearly 8 thousand hoon cars in the state over the last 3 months, some of then permanently I hope.
I wonder about the movie set scene though, why would one have too fake snow? you would get if for free soon enough in that region, one would think.

Thanks Greg, that is about the best older tractor I have seen
around here. Resto's dream I am not sure? however they seem
to thrive on it. That is the back seat, the guy tries to keep it
Super Clean. ;^) The chump burning rubber had about six half
drunks outside the Legion to perform to, probably all his friends.
Some years we get no snow at all in the winter around Vancouver,
of course some movies have two or three seasons in the script. Stephanie
did a Christmas movie Nov & Dec 2008 there was no snow for the
most part, wet & cold from what I remember. It was released
last Christmas. Santa Buddies.

Amazing! Such great-looking bighorns; very healthy and happy enough to be around human beings and vehicles. They are spectacular indeed. Must be adults of 5-6 years. I learned somewhere that they get a prominent line in their horns for each year. They also have matching fur colour to the rock surroundings which probably conceals them from prying eyes while hopping around the rocky parts.. : )

Impressive summit crowned by slates of white clouds. The region is immensely beautiful, offering a different side in each photo you upload. It's an ever-changing scnery. : ) One just can't get bored or sleepy while behind the steering wheel of any vehicle when on that road, there's always something to point to or draw one's eyes on to..

Beautiful, misty and snowy shots of the heights and the engineered road with its scale appears to be no danger to the wild life in that region.

At times there was a lot of mist and clouds along the Icefields Parkway, and there was certainly no shortage of wildlife. The first image below was taken when we stopped at a service area about halfway between Lake Louise and Jasper, which would make it about 125 km north of Lake Louise if my memory is correct. The second image was taken through the window of my automobile, while stopped on the road because the road was blocked by a group of these sheep. They were totally unconcerned by the human population, probably because there is no hunting in the National Park.

You know, David, if it weren't for your photos of the exhibits near your home I would not think much of tractors in my personal life but now I see how they should be appreciated and cared for. They are these 'instruments' which handled the humankind's desire to evolve in agricultural field work and efficiency.

No tractors were used in the cultivation of this tomato plant that has taken over my balcony estate! : )) It did everything on its own with the aid of a couple of buckets of water from me now and again...

Some very interesting 'antics' and 'action' shots from your neighbourhood, again, David. Everyone must have it their blood streams, pumping engine oil from their hearts, otherwise we'd not be able to get such sweet photos of the early past century. : )

Hi was 30ºc today.

That is one fine tomato shot Aster, just hours away from being perfectly ripe.
Right now mine are green and not much bigger than gooseberries, I did
start them late though.

Yeah the Bighorns I forgot them on the previous page, duh, I think they scamper about and do death defying jumps on nearly vertical rockfaces, or is that another sheep, goat I'm thinking of?
Wow DA that car isn't roadworthy for sure, it's a wonder it hasn't been put off the road long before.
Nice big juicy Tomato Yildiz, you sure can grow them, even if it was accidental.
Not long too go now for nicer weather in Istanbul I think, just a few weeks more should do it, hopefully.
