Doc, I just used PE. 6. (levels, contrast & lighting) on both.
I never use sharpening.

Some flower shots (without insect visitors) from my new Tamron 60mm f/2, all on the A700

Cyclamen - nice to see these guys back in the garden - I love these delicate flowers that seem to hide along the borders.


Buddleia - this is about the third sets of blooms we've had from the bush after continual pruning. It was very busy with bees etc. today - but only one small aphid spider (something like that!) in this shot.


Fuschia - This is a very hardy plant that sits in a shady part of our garen - we never do anything to it and it gives an amazing show each year, although not as fancy as DA's specimen .

Gio67 - a very peaceful scene in the first picture - great reflection in the water. If the tall flower to the right of centre was just a bit more in focus then it would be a stunner imho.

Thank you Yildiz. I'll be sure to post all adventures here first . There is a large Horse Chestnut tree outside of the office window where I am sitting today, and it is beginning to have a distinctly autumnal look to it. Although it may be the start of the end for the flowery subjects here in the Northern Hemisphere I am looking forward to some 'conker' shots, and then Greg will be in to Spring and Summer to keep us going .

Here's a rose from my sisters house. I planted this bush 10 years or so ago for my aunt. Grandma had the house built in the '40's, and it's seen 4 generations of my family so far.

Love the Rose, Dusty. Is the Mulberry in fruit yet? I saw one bursting with fruit in a park near my mother's house on Sunday but didn't have time to stop and sample.

It's a bit quiet here for flowers at the moment Birma, I might have too search further afield in future I think you've seen most of what's in the garden.

ps. There were some minature Roses planted recently, but they're not doing very well yet, I could photograph the Pom Pom bush again maybe, it's still going strong...what we need is someone in South Amarica as well, someone who lives in the Brazilian rainforest perhaps.
