Yea - KB should go! After all, Texas is such a big place that driving to South America is probably like popping to the Mall for the rest of us. KB, I think you should keep your window raised and the doors locked while driving through Mexico though . Dusty can probably advise on where to go in Brazil. Perhaps you could pick up a few insect shots while you're there as well?

Love the Rose, Dusty. Is the Mulberry in fruit yet? I saw one bursting with fruit in a park near my mother's house on Sunday but didn't have time to stop and sample.

Our mulberry tree gives it's fruit in early June, it's long gone now! That tree is also the reason we got rid of the carpet and put Pergo flooring down. While you can do fairly well at making someone take off their shoes, the kids run around barefoot a lot, and I haven't found a way to get them to leave their mulberry stained feet outside!

I'll try to post as many shots as possible (of whatever, not necessarily beautiful) just to judge the performance. But still am not sure in which section.

Well it's difficult to say actually Doc, I know what your getting at, the Photoclubalpha forums are supposed too be orientated towards the Sony - KM brands, but then with the advent of the NEX a sort of precedent has been set that any lens type/brand is ok, after all it's still shot on a Sony sensor even if the optics are of other origins sometimes. It's fine by me if you open a thread on the lens, but hey I don't run the place.

Just a suggestion, but perhaps if the pictures are showing the capabilities of the lens then the thread could go in Lens Lore? Then if anyone searched that forum for rokinin (samyang) 85/1.4 they would find your thread with the example pictures.

That's a lovely Hibiscus! A vibrant matching of the red and yellow and we can recommend this flower to be the alternative logo figure for the Galatasaray Sports Club in coherence with the Lion figure! : ))

As the gentlemen already mentioned, good details at closeup and smooth bokeh in the background.
