Birma 'ol pal have you ever seen avocado flowers, I think a piece of Broccoli would probably have more appeal than that....honestly.

Still early for the fruits, another 20-25 days maybe.
As for the 30mm, well it's with Armen somewhere in the States (either California, Colorado or Georgia). I paid money for a brand new one but it will definitely get one very used (along with another lens which I'm still keeping it a secret/surprise).
Today I was "preparing" the soil to plant fall cucumbers.

Plums yum, are they the normal Plum Dusty? They look like maybe a smaller type then the ones I see at the Supermarket.

What a great haul dusty - and very satisfying I expect as you planted the tree. The fruit looks like what we call "Damsons" in the UK. I well remember the summer as a boy when our Damson harvest at home covered the cost of a new racing bike - I've liked the fruit ever since .

Now, how do we get a bucket load to the Doc to make his special brandy with ?

They're normal, but small. I read that you're supposed to cull most of them when they just start so that the remaining ones will grow big and plump. Also the same for peaches and nectarines. That may explain why all mine are so small!

They taste fine, it's just a bit of work to eat them - you get two bites and need to grab another.

I know how to make wine. Doc, how do you make brandy?

That makes us 2 Dusty. I might even make vodka out of it but brandy technology is tough.
BTW my plums are usually much much bigger and quite juicy but much much less.
And before I forget to mention it, the best vodka is the one made of apricots.

Oops - sorry, my memory played tricks on me, it is the Doc's fruit vodka that I was thinking of rather than brandy. In the UK Damsons are commonly used to flavour gin - I think I still prefer it plain with tonic though .
