Lovely images Henry to go with the fabulous weather. I can't believe all of these people are out on the beach when they could be behind a computer screen watching the details being released of new Sony cameras .

Well, these were taken a few hours before the new camera details got posted. I am sure in the evening they were all in their hotel rooms and glued to their computers in anticipation.

I missed you all so much! : )))) You probably all fulled your 'naughtiness quaota' in my absence by now and had loads of fun! Very curious about what's going with you all.

Those are most glorious of your whereabouts indeed. : ) Very neat panoramic samples! Thanks for sharing with us!

I was on the road for a while and now I'm in a city in the South of Turkey.

It's hot and humid as would be expected and around 35 C duriing the day here.

I chose to travel by bus this time; in the second row from the driver's seat. The bus was pretty interesting with a crack running across the width of its windshield glass. Either birds crashed into the windshield or stuff falling off of trucks' loads have left marks ... But I would not be able take these photos had I travelled by plane...maybe only the night sky if I'm lucky.

These are the Taurus Mountain ranges lining the southern coast of Turkey's mainland. All shot with my HDR-EX550E while the bus was on the move around 70km/hr.

Here are some sample shots of what it looks like to travel by bus or car when passing through these ranges...

Hi Yildiz - great to know you are well and on a trip .

I like the travelogue images - especially the rather scary windscreen cracks I hope the cracks are not caused by passengers! (I like the rear view mirror in the shot as it gives some context to where you are.) Great views of the moutains. Hope you have a sdafe journey - with lots of pictures .

All was safe, thanks. A little backache from sitting upright for long hours but I'm feeling good right now. : )
No passanger damage on that windshield but probably some other minor cause.

I also hope to shoot on my way back to Istanbul... : )

When I have more time with my Wi-Fi connection I'll try to comment on all the posts I missed on reading...

Ah that's good, Yildiz had just 'gone fishing' so to speak....without warning.
I like the 'on the road' bus pix, I try to do the same on a bus trip, sit at the front just in case there is something of interest, (I tried to find a couple of examples but without any luck).
Have a nice trip/holiday Yildiz.

Hi Yildiz - those lovely open roads across the Taurus look great. I wish we were back in Antalya, still one of the best places I have ever been. I think if we had the time and the money we'd buy a house on the 'riviera' but it would not be one of those modern villas. Far prefer to live in the heart of one of the old towns like Antalya or Alanya. Best people and best (local, not tourist) food on the Med.

I agree, any old and authentic house but those so-called modern villas! And the new roads make it very pleasant to travel by road as a choice. Lots to see and encounter... : )

Maybe some day, you will be among the 'Riviera' citizens ! One can where flip-flops almost whole year round ... and the real food is really healthy too. I think you and Shirley would add to the charm of the authentic places you'd choose to live here...

This tour is a real treat Aster, with some great scenes, I feel
like I am the co-driver of this coach, ;^) Some of the
scenery is not unlike the the kind I saw a few week back.
Also took a pic of a similar tunnel entry while driving. keep
these coming they're great.

Did a spot of astronomy last night for the first time in ages, my friend Murray had finally finished building the tracking mount for his lovely 16". Jupiter was good at 200X and we watched the red spot swing into view...at 1:00 AM.
