Whoa . Now that is a telescope! There is an interesting combination of craft and technology there with the wooden strcuture and the high tech laptop etc. If ISO keeps going up at its current rate then it wil lnot be long before you will not need flash at all in these circumstances .

Thanks guys, we've had some great times with that telescope, watching dust storms on Mars and the shrinking polar ice caps (they've got global warming on Mars too, and we aren't even there), tracking and identifying the moons of Saturn...tiny Mimas is tricky, viewing the valleys, mountains, craters and faults on the moon, Galaxies, nebulae and star clusters etc. the aim is too refine the tracking mount enough too put a camera in place of the eyepiece...we'll see.

Your friend and yourself are inspirational with such a home set up for a telescope. Hopefully, you'll be able to put a camera behind that line-up of glass and we'll see some incredible nebulae and star dust...craters and such.

ps. Lots and lots of eggs, and lots of eggplant as well, I wonder if they sell all the produce? it's all straight from the farm, you can't get much fresher than that, so they probably would sell most of it.

Hot and amusing it was, strolling through that market!

I acquired some eggs, tomatoes and black grapes...hmm, and some huge peaches. : ) My favourites are always the fruits, especially if they still have their fresh produce scents on them.

These vendors go around the town. They are at a different street of the city for each day of the week, so it probably doesn't take them long to sell the produce before it goes stale and becomes undesirable.

We had a deluge of rain August 31 and still evident
in this field, they got the hay rolled up in the nick of
time.

Great market shots Yildiz - I like the egg one best, but I have no idea why . There is something very appealing about food staked up on market stalls. I still remember one of my favourites here, which was by Javelin I think, of Pumpkins. I guess it will soon be that time again.

Nice shots DA, I like the straw rolls with the train in the background. Up until this week it has not been great harvesting weather here in the UK either.

All your eggs in one basket, good one DA ha ha. Nice bright rural scene, I sortof misstook the boxcars for a wall of some sort for a second initially for some strange reason, don't know why, must be loosing it, and yeah if a deluge flattens the fodder down it'll just lay there and rot.

Eggs look fine as you say...Soon we should get an other market thread going. The season is just right to take the camera for the market colours, shapes and holiday mood.

No, he shouldn't keep all his eggs in one basket... : )) It does have the impression that you'll pick one up from the lot and all the rest will go rolling down only to be crashed.. I was very careful while making my selections...I carefully picked 16 out of that egg-lot.

The round ssection of the hay rolls contrast nicely with the rectilinear forms of the containers in the background. : ) A lovely and peaceful scene..

tsawwassen 18ºc. partly cloudy.

Good one Greg, stands out nicely in the grass. They are always willing to
join in on a picnic. ;^) We don't see Magpies around here, but did see a
few in Calgary last month.

Nice 'shot' Greg . Quite different markings to our Magpies in the UK, but a similar intelligent look in the eye. In folklore here there are a bird of immense ill-omen - if you see one then you have to "doff your cap" and wish him/her good morning/afternoon etc. Any failure to do this will result in bad luck - well that is what my Granny used to say .

Thanks guys, yeah I'm pretty sure our Magpies are related to the Raven family, and as we know, the Crows are quite smart as far as birds go.
Oh my goodness graciousment Birma, I was wearing a (3M) baseball cap that I swivelled around backwards when I shot the Magpie...I wonder if that counts?
