Sorry, for the lack of photos at this time. I hope to make up for it when I'm back in Istanbul.

I definitely read all your posts on new cameras and opinions though and would love to see what you are doing and seeing nowadays.

Birma, I hope you enjoyed what you had to eat. : )

Great shots everybody! I've been absent from here a while, and have to catch up. My son Ian is in his first year of Marching Band in high school. I'm part of the pit crew that loads and moves all the large instruments. We stand on the sidelines, so I thought that would be a great place to take my camera. From last night, last play before halftime. John

Those light rays are good John, but centre field looks like a game of footy going on, not a marching band...as such, or does he do both?

They rays were pretty cool, but unfortunately our band (Ian just plays in the band) went on second at half time.. It was dark by then.. Here is one of the few I got of him marching (standing still actually). It is very difficult to get him in motion, as many people are crossing in front of him as he is moving. He is to the right of the drum. John

Tsawwassen. Very wet 16ºc

Nice shot of the band John. Marching bands can be tricky when they turn & interwind while marching.

Thats a good one Greg. Looks like a puppy dog in the basket with similar colour
to a Koala Bear.

Thanks DA, there was a retirement village just down the road from where we were, so I guessed that's where he came from, yeah I saw the funny little dog in the basket, that's why I tried to 'get em' as they zoomed past the gap.

Nice low-light shots, John. : )

Your son's interests offer new photo opportunities indeed. They look cute in those almost-lead-soldier-costumes and clarinets... :D Such devotion to art!

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Greg,
That's a neat shot both in the choice for the vehicle and the tiny-size puppy in the basket. Good catch! Must have been a last minute decision to grab the camera and shoot. :D

Well, I'm back in Istanbul as was expected.. : )
It feels great to be home again!

After sorting out my home adsl connection problems which occurred -I have no idea why-, I'm able to send some road shots. :D

Nothing art-worthy but just my back-to-home candids from behind the bus' glass ....pardon the reflections as you encounter them please... :)

Monday
Chance of Rain. Scattered Clouds. High: 26 °C . Wind NNW 25 km/h . 20% chance of precipitation (trace amounts).

Finally, Istanbul! On the Bosphorus Bridge, looking West, European coastline...

Yildiz, welcome back home.
I don't mind glass reflections as long as the shots are interesting.
I'm sure everything went fine and back to normal.
Nice to have you back.
