"How to Take Stunning Pictures" for UK viewers
It seems to have been well publicised but I didn't see it until reading the paper this morning. Channel 5 (in the UK) have a new series starting tonight. The title says it all. I'm assuming the programme title is probably just current hyperbole, but you never know
. The programme is "sponsored" by Panasonic Lumix so I'm expecting to see lots of Gs, GFs, and GHs.

Re: "How to Take Stunning Pictures" for UK viewers
Ok, so I watched it. My first thought was "Channel 5 have a lot of adverts and why do they always have premium rate number telephone competitions on every show"
. The first show, in a series of six I believe, looked at portraits. Nothing shocking was revealed in terms of technique. The focus (excuse the pun) was on composition, using available light, and interacting with your subject. Not a single mention of ISO, f numbers, etc. etc. but I guess the audience was expected to include mobile phone shooters as well
. The format had a couple of inexperienced shooters who wanted to imporve and a pro to show them the ropes. He guided them through a shoot and then they were sent off with a brief to put their lesson in to practice. Following their "shoot" they and, the pro, each picked their favourite shot. Any product placement during the show seemed pretty subtle to me - they may have been using Panny Gs or GHs. The only camera name I saw was actually a Canon.
