Ooo chocolate. Ooo Zeiss 24-70. I want one!! I think. Still cant decide if I need a wider angle. Got stung on Ebay trying to buy a Minolta G 17-35mm lens which wasn't. So now I'm indecisive all over again. Lovely shot.

Get the KM 17-35 f2.8-4: other than a little soft @35mm and wide open, it is a wonderful lens for the price -you can find it for less than the 400 US Adorama is asking for (http://www.adorama.com/US%20%20%20%20402614.html)

This became the main lens on my A700. Now on the A850 I use the Minolta 24-85 or the Zeiss 40-70, depending on the gig and/or mood of the day. but I always take the KM 17-35 to any serious job or trip.

Yehaah!! Found a KM 17-35mm G lens on Ebay UK seller buy it now from a pro switching to Canon. It arrived today and it's better than chocolate!!

lens is too big for the NEX5. I think it will be really interesting doing video with it, on a tripod. but stills handhelded...

I bought NEX5 + 16mm f2.8 as a kit. I used the Sigma 24mm f2.8 and Minolta 50mm f2.8 with the Sony adapter, but since I got the adapter for Minolta Manual focus, I use my primes (24mm f2.8; 58mm f1.4; 105 f2.5) on the NEX5 all the time, I shoot my friend's wedding with it (that I'm processing now) and I'm really happy with the overall quality. I'll be going to Peru in October (for another Wedding, as a guest) and I'll probably take the NEX and leave the A850 home.

I can have the NEX on a wedding, or other event, for low-light shots, even for short video sequences, but never as a backup camera. A850 is almost perfect (they have to improve AF speed and wireless system doh) for event photography and NEX will never replace it. Same happens with EVF cameras: the OVF of the A700 is the minimum if you want to finish a 8+ hours gig in good shape.

NEX is good for everyday stuff and personal projects. For everything else (paid jobs) A700 and up cameras is what I need - I don't want to seam snob about it, I know some people use A200 or A5XX and I respect that, the most important part is the output and the camera is not the biggest constraint, but the creativity and how you transmits emotion. The thing is, "working" with a small camera push you to think more about the equipment (and equipment failure) and less on the creative side. My friends wedding shoot with the NEX was possible because it was a really small party, there were no official photographer and no professional pressure at all.

A very nice selection of shots Pako - it looks like you had the smallest camera there . There is a very natrual feeling to the posed shots which is great, and I especially like the candids.

I had the smallest camera, that's for sure. One more sign that it is not about the camera (not that I want to introduce myself as a paradigm...) I saw some of the pics from the Hasselblads and those were nice also.

Oh definately the lens! Went to wales with it and had a great time. The chocolate has been and gone but the lens - I'll keep that for a long time.
