Where To Look for Winston's Photos ? : )

It just dawned on me that we have been deprived of some good photos from Winston for quite a long time!

I must say I miss your photos, Winston; the innate style and the quality of Winston-ware!

Please share some when you're ready to post...of your latest trip....of anything actually.. : ))

The forum definitely needs some Winstonization.

Hi Yildiz,

I haven't disappeared. I try to log-on here everyday. Due to some incompatibility, I have not been able to do so reliably for months. Because of this, I have been reluctant to post anything that might invite conversation because of my inability to participate.

The situation has become better lately but is still not what I would call reliable.

I don't think anything is going to change. I seem to be the only one having the problem and I have had it for months. It's the only site I that I have this problem with.

Nope, you are not the only one, I do have connection problems with photoclubalpha.com, from home or work, and I think it is related to quota (or overquota) issues. I think that, if you try to connect to the website at pick hours, you are more likely to have that "database connection error" window...

I get that error only occasionally.
The usual problem is that when I click on something, nothing happens.

What browser are you using?

I have no problem at home, where I use Opera, but I sometimes see that lack of response from this site if I log on at work, where the company standard is IE6. (Don't ask why they do that . . . ) The system at work has recently added Firefox as an alternative browser, and I've had no problems with lack of response since I started using that browser a couple of weeks ago.

As I said before, I am the only person in the world having a problem with this site.
The problem is browser independent. I find IE8 to be marginally faster then FF3.6.

So do I, but not that rarely. It can go on for sometime at times. Everything was OK in the past few days though...

IN the past few weeks I've had several of the same DB errors, both at home and work. It doesn't matter if it's Firefox, Chrome or IE.

Since I'm 8 hrs off of DK's time, I thought it could just be his middle of the night updates.

Our servers are in the USA, for capacity and price. I find they are sometimes doing updates during my night shift.

I don't think that my problem. I do most of my surfing in the morning (GMT-7), mid-day your time.

I've lost count on the number of times I've had the SQL db error thingy, that and the 'Explorer is unable to display this page' one. Lately I've had spasmodic success with just using the back arrow on that last one, at first you get a repeat of the unable message, but if you keep clicking the back arrow you sometimes find it comes back to normal...well sortof normal.
