Our pumpkins are really late this year, for some reason they wouldn't pollinate during the summer, although the bees were working them. Finally we have a few tiny ones. We had one bigger than this, but it rotted on the ground while ripening.

This one is still growing, will pick it at first frost.

I wonder if you need male and female pumpkin flowers like some other plants? I wonder how come you have round yellow pumkins? most of the ones I see here are dark green with cream spots and dashes and they're not even round either; more flattish top and bottom, we occasionally get a vine that starts growing all over some place where we don't want it so they never amount too much...usually.
