Ha ha very funny both of you, choir boy indeed kaf kaf....
Sheesh! holy birds batman I wonder what was happening there? maybe getting ready for migrating south perhaps and flocking into a big group....good grab DA.
Dang I should have got a few shots of the Mango chutney production, (but alas I had a soffit to fix), another batch was just done today....bubbling cauldron...smells like paint stripper, I sometimes joke as I go past...ear of bat...eye of newt, and then depart quickly....nice stuff when it's finished though.

Gospels for Greg! :D

Thank you, David. : ) Nothing better, especially right after coming home on a cold, windy, rainy or snowing day...and reading by the fireplace while sipping that coffee. : )

Quite the unexpected situation you found yourself in the midst of there indeed. I'm surprised you had enough time to raise the camera towards them in all that turmoil.

Good capture! What sort of birds are these that they should want to gather by the motorways at this time of the year ?

Thanks for sharing,

Cloudy 12ºc

Not sure what kind of birds Aster. Flying so low I don't think the were headed far.
They disappeared out of view at the ferry terminal a mile or so up. I'de stopped to walk
across the HWY to check the sky over Roberts Bank before going to the shore at Tsatsu.

You should apply that Mango chutney to strip paint off your boat Greg, you never know. ;^)

That's some view DA, you had to be there at the right time too get that one, great shot.
It must be a busy port, needing all those container cranes; you could photograph them in a line and put the photo in the repetition thread even.

Hi Greg,

Looks like you've been scraping until the aliminium took a sheen as good as silver. :)

Your outing to the ocean and the river must be imminent...

Hi David Antony, :)

This is one of the most striking sea, sky, clouds and port shots I've ever seen. Heavens lighting the human feat at sea... :D

tsawwassen wet & windy 11ºc.

Thanks for the nice comments Greg & Yildiz.

I see the Aussie dollar just at par with the USD now Greg,
it's made a great come back. Has it lowered the price of
things like cameras, lenses & other foreign goods?

Hi DA,
I think the position on the $AUD is related more to the value of the $USD declining than anything except maybe the strong export position with China on commodities, metals and natural gas etc. There's good and bad with the value of the $Oz the way it is at the moment, the farmers aren't impressed, it makes their exports too expensive for most of their traditional markets, but apparently it has led too a resurgence of travel by Australians to places that were once expensive for us like the US and the UK, so watch out DA you might be tripping over Aussies everwhere shortly.
As for the prices of cameras, Sony seems oblivious to the position of the $AUDhttp://www.sony.com.au/product/ProductC ... R%20Camera
but online shopping here can show a different story http://www.cameraaction.com.au/call-130 ... brand=Sony that place has the A900 for example at nearly $1000 cheaper than Sony Style, so yes the prices are coming down I guess but still quite a difference between what someone in the US would pay and what we are asked to pay.

Thanks for the compliments Birma.

This office is on the same floor as Stephanie's offices for Spooky
Buddies. Yesterday I saw this guy at the desk, thought it might
be Nippers 9th replacement ;^) had my 5-D with kit lens 18/70
took this hand held.

Reasons we live for indeed, David Antony! Cute bundle!
