i took this from a new block of flats i was working on in london today,
it,s sort of funny when you look at it the cars seem to be going back and forth does anyone else get the same feeling, the second one the top of the hoist is where i was working repairing the motor,that's my kneeling pad,and the last one is a general view into london
I used to go up cranes a lot for Tayor Woodrow, but they were always just in the middle of some vast building project like the Midland Bank's computer centre or Central Television's HQ (that dates me!). No nice views of actual streets. Once I was allowed on to the top of CEGB's office building to do a panorama of the whole of London - on the day, of course, the weather was rubbish.

Apparently, the bus is not allowed any other but to enjoy the "drive in reverse day" permanently, by the looks of those yellow bus-stop warning painted on the 'wrong' side of the road.

I like the 'steamy' look of the cityscape in the third shot and the dramatic look-down from the second point of view.
The problem with you Americans is that you changed the rules. Maybe revenge for British dominance. All civilised countries such as UK, India, New Zealand and Australia (I think) know which is the correct side of the road to drive on. The same in Ireland although traditionally they are not too fond of the Brits. The Irish parliament got the idea that they should change and drive on the right. Some members objected in that they thought it would be too much for all to change on the same day. They agreed then that all cars would change on one Sunday and all buses and trucks would follow the week after. This was agreed and note where that has left them; having to go to EU and beg for anything up to 100 billion Dollars equivalent in loans.

I am actually Danish but live here in Scotland. I would have liked to continue driving in the right side of the road but I would find it rather difficult because of the old habits prevailing here.
Love the pictures Gio67 - even if they are vertigo inducing .
(I think driving around a round-about anywhere where they use the different side of the road, is very very tricky. I have nearly turned on to the wrong side of the interstate several times in the US when the roads are quiet and there is no one to follow.)
