Here is some info about blimps and how to make them:

Hi Henry, : )

It's pretty exciting to see all these cameras and equipment on your premises..and the delightful faces of the ladies, the actors and the professional people in general...

Now you have more than your shower and high surfs to make a documetry of...Videos for YouTube! : ))

Although sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, most of us can give it the smell test to determine if it is true. If I could transmit smell via the internet you would most assuredly conclude that it passes!

Don't worry Henry if there was a way of transmitting smells over web, one could always have on hand a pleasant aeromatic spray, just in case one gets the odd suspicous one. http://ourotherfavourites.blogspot.com/ ... llent.html

"Book 'em Danno! Murder One."

I never saw an episode, but I spent many hours in the school playground repeating those immortal lines :D . The theme tune will still make my friends of a certain age kneel on the floor and paddle for all they are worth.

A new series? Well I'm sure we'll get it in the UK soon enough.

Thanks for the heads up Henry, and the interesting look behind the scenes.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

An A55 would be able to do much better video and with the fast AF could even be used for the bodyboarders.

Well, I am sure if you could take a good whiff all doubts would be dispelled. Even 17 years later my wife is sure I must still have some elephant dung deep in my ears because she says it sometimes seems I don't hear a word she is saying. :)
That link isn't working for me.

The old show was famous, but not one that I watched. I found out that the new one is on Monday nights so I will check it out next week if I don't forget.

Check out the youtube link in my OP for the intro and theme music of the new show and also the link to the same for the old show.

Someday you should try to get here on the 4th of July, Independence Day for the outrigger canoe races at Waikiki. In my Hawaii gallery there is a sub-gallery that has shots of it in 2008, 2009, and 2010. At anytime though you can go out in one with some Hawaiians for a few dollars and paddle, paddle, paddle! For example, these next 2 photos are tourists yesterday:

This is from the 2010 Waikiki outrigger canoe races:

That company is in Austin, Texas and from plugging the address into Google Maps I see that it is way down in South Austin in Onion Creek. Austin is sort of home, but I haven't heard of this company. I assure you though that you don't need to order this. :)

By the way, I may have left Africa with some elephant dung still in my ears, but an English guy I got to know named Darrin left there with malaria in his blood.
