Sunrise at Mengkabong - 28 November 2010

This was shot at close to sunrise, which is around 6:00 am in this part of the world.

Location is the Mengkabong River, near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The mountain at the background is Mt. Kinabalu, the highest peak in South East Asia.

Wow big river, looks almost like a lake. Nice scene; is there someone skiing behind that near boat? I can see something there but I'm not sure what it is.

Hello Greg, these are small fishing boats, so no, there are no skiing activities going around there.... thanks for the comments.

This shot is actually closer to the real colors at that hour. I had shifted the white balance in the first shot to give it a colder feel.
