Birma- Great shot of Tilly running to mommy.. perfect timing on it.
Henry- I like expanding the thread to other parts of the animal kingdom.
Frank- Great captures on both of them. Making the couple out of focus adds a level of subtlety to the image.. Makes it respectful- not voyeuristic. The family one is very heartwarming. My son is a teenager now, not so keen on kisses from mommy anymore
BTW, what lens did you use on the spider photo? The bokeh is outstanding (as are the spiders themselves).
Dusty- I forgot to mention earlier, enjoyed the wedding pictures. Those two are (were) part of a dying breed.. waiting until marriage is pretty rare these days I bet.

I took this shot at Wurstfest this year. I'll say it is three generations of love, though obviously that isn't what grabbed my attention in the first place...

It was with the old 100mm 2.8 Macro. I'm not using it anymore now since I'm addict to the 200mm 4.0. But the 100mm 2.8 is a very good and versatile lens, I think after buying a 50mm 1.7 (or 1.4 depending the budget), the 100mm 2.8 should be on the list of everybody looking for good prime lens.

I had a rummage through some photos I had previously prepared for the web, I think I posted this one before once briefly. My sister loves animals and often rescues things of all shapes and sizes, this is one of the orphaned calves she adopted, as you can see she was now it's loving mother. She even conned me into some of her escapades in the past, rescuing things.

Henry- Yep the one in New Braunfels.. I've been told the beer used to be free, or dirt cheap, and that it used to get a little wild. It's pretty tame family oriented now, but still a good time. I guess all the buildings are the same there in Landa Park. This year was the 50th anniversary we saw one couple with what looked like pins from every year. We have been 4 times, and always enjoyed it.. I've seen that couple 3 out of the 4 times we've been. John

My Emma (now 5) popped put at 32 weeks, and John will be there Sunday. Last week Noreen had contractions so bad I took her to the hospital just in case.

firstly best wishes to you all,
the twins are 3 weeks old in that pic , they were born at 30 weeks and were in incubators for about 9 weeks, they were very ill ,this was the first time they were together since being in their mums womb, they are a picture of health now and coming up to their third birthday in may,

I,ll just add an edit dusty,amazing news I got today, the twins were born with IVF treatment after a few years of trying my son and his wife decided on this course, the amazing news is that she had another egg implanted 5 weeks ago a single egg from the same batch was fertilised and implanted, the single egg for obvious reasons, anyway her first scan was today and guess what?,the egg has split and she is having identical twins, we're all unbelievably happy about this amazing outcome
