Gorgeous Tsawwassen shots! Lovely sunset and mountain summits... I love the look of the fresh snow on the mountain peaks. You brought us some amazing winter weather scenes and how some of the produce is being taken care of under such harsh and fluctuating weather conditions. : )

I'm sure those cute grey birds are very grateful for thinking of them! They are also interesting looking little grey birds.

Greg - we have had an even worse server overload this morning, not just admin but all my sites down for hours. I hope this not repeated. That Microsoft site you posted has to be the most intrusive web page ever - when I closed its popup instead of accepting or declining its invitation, it STOPPED my Firefox tab entirely and made BACK navigation impossible. I had to use History to get off that page and get back to the forum. I do not like Microsoft!

David I would have no advanced knowledged that using a link would cause that kind of havoc, SQL is Microsoft's biggest and best networking database, it's probably one of the most advanced around as far as I know. It sounds too me more like compatibility problems than anything. Now I'm not saying Microsoft is as pure as the driven snow, they might be capable of making opposing software products being less than fully functional when used in conjunction with their products, (otoh so might others as well), or it could be just the access granted to key features that some companies enjoy with Microsoft...and some don't have that access, I'm just guessing here of course but some are a lot more equal than others, of that I'm fairly sure.
As far as the 'popup' goes I'm not sure what is meant by that, I would just right click the link and select 'open in new window' on the menu, and close the window when I've finished with it, I have never had any residual or latent problems doing that, and I've never experienced any problems with any of the Microsoft web pages at all, so that 'intrusive' problem you describe is an odd one too me....

Amazed that the Kelso snow is still there and growing deeper . Our snow has been and gone. A couple of days of temperatures between 2 and 5 degrees centigrade, drizzle, and lower humidity have seen it off. The whole world now seems a very drab brown.

Looks like a lot in NY as well Pako. I always imagine NY gets quite a bit of snow - was is the large amount arriving suddenly that surprised people?

Lovely sky colours DA, and the mountains look great.

Here is to hoping for a New Year with health and happiness for everyone, with a whole bunch of new Alpha kit, and continuing inspirational pictures for us to enjoy on PCA. (Obviously not too much kit that it will cause DK trouble in keeping up with it all .)

Using Firefox, I just went to the link that Greg posted and had no problems. However, you mentioned a problem with a "popup". My system is set to block all popup advertising, so that may have made a difference.

Good photos of the way NewYork looks after the blizzard. The news of the cold weather and harsh snowy conditions in North America were a continuous news item for at least a week on television and radios here. You had to endure some tough outdoors!

Nah, every year is the same, we'll have a couple of blizzards of different intensity, then about four or five weeks, distributed during the winter, with glacial temperatures -once my Tamron 70-200 f2.8 blades stop working because the cold weather (-17 celsius)

the problem in this is that NYC is never ready for a big blizzard...

And naturally my congratulations to Birma for making possible one of the most colourful and dynamic flower threads to date; we had the chance to see many beauties through many different lenses our foroum members acqquired in 2010. It sooned turned into a technically and aesthetically 'must-see' threads.
