I'll have to be jealous of your 'fall' colors Greg... Everything here is dead....John

What can I say ? The competition between the photos are breathtaking; some very sweet entries indeed!

You guys know how to find the 'sweet spot' of Autumn!

Doc, I know how your son is feeling in that 'pool' of whithered leaves!

Those tiny liquid drops on the face of a dry leaf speak for themselves, kLuMzi!

Your gravity-defying, lifeful colours are 'all ears' to our long-dead leaf variety, Greg! Australia is a serious and hard to beat competitor! : ))

Thanks for sharing everyone!

A really great set of pictures in the challenge already. Here is a contribution from me.

Autumn was all about the missed opportunities when I didn't get to shoot the great colours we had while the leaves changed on the trees, so instead I had to make up for it when they had fallen to the ground once we started having very tough frosts. These from the weekend past with the A700 and Tamron 60mm f/2.

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your votes! :D

And congratulations, Birma! : ))

I pleasantly would like to announce that Birma is the winner of this particular photo challenge by getting 50% of your votes.

It’s a sweet yet refreshingly chilling photo of how complex and surprising Autumn can be for some parts of the World and congratulations to Birma for spotting some extraordinary details closely and registerig them infinitely for posterity. : )

Dr. Harout
, with his cheerful son, half buried in dry leaves won the second place while our dear forum member David Antony got the third place with his sweetly fragile crimson autumn leaves on the bank of the river.

Wow  - thank you very much. Sorry for the long delay in posting my thanks, but I have been very busy at work for the last two weeks and haven't had the time to post, or worse, take any pictures!

I really like both the other finalist pictures; they were certainly my favourites. A great portrait of joy in the leaves by the Doc, and DA's captivating shot of autumn colours - very hard to chose between :D . Of course, special thanks to Yildiz for all of the organisiation.
