Going thru Photoworld #1 2011 today I saw a plate of fine Greek pastry which looked very familiar ;^) congratulations Yildiz, definitely magazine material. Great cover shot by Shirley, as always full of news & info you just don't find elsewhere.

Great take that one DA with the frozen fishermen, it looks like the one on the right has one on ha ha. And that's a Heron shot that's 'different' as well.
I like the mountain scene Lonnie, I don't think I would like to try too climb up there though.

That bold eagle shot as well as the one in the birds 2011 thread are very impressive. You handeled the camera nicely and they both are very sharp.

Oo that does look a tad gloomy Yildiz, still it's a view I haven't seen before so I like it.
It's a wonder there isn't a few mushies here and there Birma with all that moisture around, that nice field looks like a likely place for some.

Birma, I absolutely love the trails and surroundings you choose to take family walks in. And I think that Tamron 11-18 is doing exactly what it should with such vast coverages.
I also love the two little red spots in the distance that I interpret as two human beings....guessin they are our sweet Matilda and her Mama. : ))

Have to agree that with all the lovely nature sprouting to life in your places for walks and living, you would be getting enormus help from a tiliting livescreen. : ) Maybe you can persuade the boss telling him/her that your back was aching from trying so hard to get low above the ground for great English snowdrops...

Thanks Yildiz . I'm still learning how to get the best out of the UWA lens, but I quite like this one. You are right that one of the figures in red is Matilda, but this time the other figure is her Granny . I am carefully considering the required "business case" for the "boss"; I will add in the heatlh and safety aspect of my bad back as you suggest .

I didn't spot any mushies on this walk Greg - although I may have been too focused on looking for snowdrops .

I haven't posted here in a while, so here is one from the drive home today. I've seen these mules before on my way home, but today was the first of good light, my camera, and me not worn out. It started out cold and cloudy, but it warmed up to 14° C, winds N @3mph crystal clear skies.

Late in the day near sunset. By the way, there was a TV crew shooting down at the beach yesterday with a big setup with lots of equipment and people. I thought at first it might be Hawaii Five-O again, but I asked one of the guys working and he said it was an Australian TV show. There were quite a few Australian tourists all around several of the attractive actors and getting autographs and getting photos taken together. I didn't recognize the actors, but they must be well known in Australia.
