Thanks for the kind words. I hope people will keep posting. Actually, these forums seem fairly dead lately.

This is a very nice shot. I like it a lot. They sure look like they can keep warm with those heavy coats on.

Thanks Henry . It is a pretty amazing 'coat' these ladies are wearing, warm and waterproof. Unless you work with them you don't get to handle sheep as they are skittish to say the least. My mother-in-law hand-reared a few in this flock and they are more than friendly - they basically mug you in the hope you have some extra food on you . Their fleeces feel pretty amazing when still "on the sheep" - quite oily (from the lanolin) - you can well imagine how they can survive out in all weathers. The ironic thing (I think) is that they were bred for their wool more than their meat, and now their fleeces are not worth the amount of money it takes to shear them.

By my count, 14,387 grains of sand long, and 4,328 wide. Assuming average sized sand, that should work out to 10 1/2 C.

As to Birma's foot.... I'll say 10...
