sea front cafe on canvey island i am told the design was by the same man who did the Sydney opera house and the men at prayer were taken on the year 2000 at the wailing wall.

i am still not confident when resizing for the site any way thanks for constructive criticism only way to learn

i think the cafe shot needs to be sharper. don't think ill get the hang of this

You can post larger attachments (up to 1000 pixels wide) and the system will resize them, but these are none of them looking properly sharp. The cafe shot is very softened. I can't tell you why this is as a resized JPEG should be very sharp indeed at this size.

element 6,and pc, they look OK before posting, apart from softness i don't think they are to bad, very frustrating especially when i see other peoples photos

If you are posting images as attachments OVER 600 pixels or without enough compression to keep them small, the ImageMagic system on the website will resize them and create thumbnails. Your images are showing as thumbnails (small) which are clickable to get to the larger version. You can post links to files of 1000 pixels, but you are uploading to Photoclubalpha, and that means that unless you resize your image first, they may be crunched right down by the storage system. This can make them unsharp.

If you resize the image to 600 x 600 pixels size, then apply Unsharp Mask 100 per cent, Radius 0.8, levels 0 and 'Save For Web' if Elements allows that, or Save to JPEG quality 8 if not, you should get sharp results.
