Parallel Universe?
Sort of tongue in cheek, but I was in 'Give it Your Best Shot' and I clicked the 'go to page' and typed in 24 and duly got page 24, looking for a past thread title, after sifting through I decided I didn't remember the title after all and gave up; so I clicked the [25] to go back to the current page and ended up here?

I'm noticing that you aren't logged in on this screen-cap. Do you have a different skin for the forum? My screen is all pleasantly light blue when I'm logged in, but if I'm not, I get the black page you see there.

What a great look back Greg - I remember Bluebear I think , but don't remember any of the other names. People come and go on most forums I guess.

Yes KB I didn't bother changing anything so it's the same 'skin' if I'm logged in or not. I must not have been logged in at the time I guess, although I can't particularly remember now come to think of it, but anyway should that make any difference as to how the DB works, there seems to be some kind of glitch in there somewhere.

Re: Parallel Universe?
Oh ok, I thought when you clicked on P25 it would go back to the current P25 like this one below not the one I posted above.

Hi Greg, : )
The only explanation I can offer is maybe your Display Options for ONLINE-VIEWING were edited by you at some point.
When you're off-line, the default black-background interface is displayed and all the forum messages and threads are displayed starting from 1, ending with the 'n'th last message / thread.
But, if you edited your display options from ASCENDING to DESCENDING some time ago, you will see the LAST PAGE as the FIRST PAGE in the forum and the LAST MESSAGE as the FIRST MESSAGE in the threads.
If you made these changes then it's normal for you to find the last forum thread / message displayed as first, hence making P 25 the actual 1st and P 1, the actual P 25.
Did you make any changes to your display options after going to USER CONTROL PANEL ?

Re: Parallel Universe?
Thanks Yildiz, no I don't remember changing anything in the user control panel, I didn't even change the 'skin' I just left it the way it is. But reading your suggestion maybe I've got it wrong about which is the first page and which is the latest page and didn't check further which way it runs or something such. I just assumed without taking particular notice that page 25 was the current page and 24 was the one before it.
