I find this to be a very nice iimage that also is evidence to the fortune of two or more 'insects' in the same frame. Good timing and luck.

Thank you for the welcome and the comments. It was a "lucky" shot because I was focusing on the butterfly when the bee flew into the scene. Sorry about the long user name but I'm not use to having 12 or more characters in my name (as required here) so I made it something I can remember, I'm usually known as Nod.

Yes I agree as well, the butterfly and the bee together in the one well exposed and focussed shot is outstanding.

What an interesting idea for a contest: Wildlife Gardening. What does one have to do for such a competition?

It's run by our county council in conjunction with the Kent Wildlife Trust. You have demonstrate under certain categories (e.g. providing homes, providing food, using native (and varied) plants' not using pesticides etc) that your garden is wildlife friendly. There is no prize as such, just an award. The plus side is that maintenance of the garden is easier

Very nice macro caporip ! In the second shot ,is that bug eating another of it's species ? It sure looks like it. That is a great idea for a contest by the way.

Those are very good caporip, I like the exposure especially in the last one (not easy because of the distant background).

I've been a bit limited in taking pictures recently. I did grab this chap while out in the woods armed with the trusty monopod and Beercan mounted on the A700.

This is the same species, a Comma, that I took recently if you look back in the posts, but this time with the wings wide open. Much more colourful this way .
