As usual I don’t have much time for photography, but it’s about time to post some new images This season I’m shooting mostly with analog cameras (have four of them) and I recently bought dedicated film scanner so I can now share with you these three photos I took when I was walking to Wawel Castle in Cracow during one of my weekend trips. Nothing special, but maybe you’ll like them.
Thanks guys. Besides shooting with analog I'm also trying a bit different kinds of photography this season. No macro work, no flowers, different approach to landscapes and a bit of street and architecture shots. All this on different kinds of film to get different colors and contrast... I must say I enjoy shooting film... a lot
Dynamic range is way better on film. I was surprised to see how many fine details are captured in shadows. I can get close to it with digital and post processing, but no way to get such DR straight from my a700. On the other hand analog is more expensive (film and processing costs) and more time consuming if you want to digitize results (scanning is quite slow). As for analog vs digital I do not prefer one over another, just using them both depending on situation.
