Holiday days out - Edinburgh

We were in a rather damp Edinburgh yesterday but still managed to have a good time. We went to a fringe play that was SO awful it will be a family topic of conversation for years to come. We also went around the newly refurbishes National Museum of Scotland and saw some good street performers in between showers.

That's good photography Paul. I like how you got everyone to stand still while you did the pano. Wow, that guy with the knife juggling act up a ladder in the rain....I hope he doesn't ever have an accident and propel one of those large knives into the crowd....

Wow, you get sucked right into the first picture! Well done! I love images which have some geometric symmetry in them and yours has it!

The capture of the performer with the knives is also great, nice expression. I don't want to be in his shoes though. Looking at the spectators suggests it was a dreary day and, as you said, damp day. Not the kind of weather I would go in half naked. On the other hand, I wouldn't go half naked outside anyway. Don't want to ruin the eyes of people to much

We were driving back from a Fringe performance (Faulty Towers dinner - more fun than good food) and around 1am in Gordon village encountered several young lads clearly on their way back from a party in driving rain and floods - one dressed about the same as the knife performer! They gave us a wave and continued through the rain. 11C is considered warm round here even in August.
