Somehow I liked that 'busy bokeh's irregular abstract texture against the fineness of the fuschia Hibiscus' petals in the center...

Wow - two beautiful flower shots to wake me up this morning.

Love that shot Charlie - but now you've given me GAS again - arghhhh

. From a quick Google it looks like this is a lens that has an optional macro extender. Is this shot with the extender or not?

Very beautifully presented, Shahrulzaman. This lens is really a good one, I've tried it and liked it very much. It's quite odd and peculiar that all prime SAM lenses are real gems (30/2.8 - 35/1.8 - 85/2.8 ). Haven't tried the 50/1.8 yet.

Charlie- the way that Nikkor really has some funky bokeh, and I love the way the flower is rendered. That Tokina err 'Bokina' shot with the bee has amazing detail.
Caporip- I assume that is catchlight in the bee's eye. It makes it look like a reflection of the flower. Very cool
Sharulz- That is a beautiful shot, amazing color and lighting. The 35 1.4 has become my go to lens for flowers as well. Amazing considering the price. John
