Charlie, in the second shot you reproduced the "rusty" tint on the rocks very brilliantly. Last Sunday along with other members of PCA-Yerevan we got at 3400m in the mountains. The rocks had that special rusty tint, and it's very tough to reproduce them on LR3. Sometimes you get it wrong, sometimes you get near, but very rarely (not to say: never) you get it right. My guess: UV radiation?

If I'm not mistaken it's oxidation---rust!

Each lens seems to go it's own way. #2 was the CV 21/4



#1 OM 200/5 , and #3 was also the CV, but about a week earlier in a different location--and a bit later.


again OM 200/5 from the earlier shoot---the 1st 200 shot #3 was shot on the second nite.
also a bit bluish, but not inconsistent with my memory..

Yes, I know it's oxidation, but what settings on LR3?
I increase the tint to the right, it gets too purplish, decrease it and way too greenish. I played with color saturation but no success.
I guess you are right and it depends from the lens...
