I took the Nex 5 out for its first tripod-born mission on Sunday morning.

I think that story is the truth. I have an acquaintance in British Columbia who has a rural home with a small number of farm animals (chickens and lambs) and a modest vegetable garden.

For some years, he has had a llama that he obtained as a guard animal against coyotes and wolves, and he swears by its value for that purpose.

I like those too Birma, especially the second one, sort of artsy period looking. I like the Llama one as well, I think they do the same here now in places where they have sheep, have a guard Llama, they bond with the sheep and protect the lambs from wild dogs and foxes, and apparently they do a really good job.

Don't know about Llamas, but get a young donkey to grow up with your sheep/goat herd and they will kick to death any coyote/wild dog that attacks the herd.

Thanks AA . I love it, once I'm out on location. Dawn is a fabulous time with the general lack of other human activity and the promise of a whole new day ahead. Sunday's are my favourite as there is also an absence of early commuter traffic. Just the dedicated dog walkers that I normally meet on my way back to the car. I'm not so good initially when the alarm goes off though - all too tempting to roll over and go back to sleep! Sunrise is just coming back into a do-able (for me) time as the autumn approaches - around 6.23 this Sunday - fingers crossed for good weather .
