Glad to be back

After a hiatus of 9 months I am back to the forum. I went on a medically supervised diet program for my diabetes. Between the program, work and the familial obligations, not much time was left for "me". After losing about 37 lbs and dropping 3 out of 5 medications, I am back.

Here is the image of the fresco inside the duomo of The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. Vasari's fresco begun in 1572, and completed by Federico Zuccaro. 8 seconds exposure at f16, 28mm focal length, Autofocus 2 second timer. This is using Minolta 28-135 lens (thanks David for the suggestion). I put the camera on 2 second timer, lay it on the ground in the autofocus mode, clicked and moved away. Since the area is roped I couldn't center the image. The second image is the crop of the fresco. I printed the crop on a 8X10 at home without any issues.

Thank you. It feels good and am able to carry my 900 far longer than I used to before. I think I have added another 5 years of insulin free life due to the program. Feel truly fortunate for the second chance.

Thank you very much for your well wishes and also for posting the image. I was able to embed images from Flickr till December and after they changed their system I have not figured out how to do it. Could you tell me what you did to embed the image, if you don't mind?

BTW, the second one is the crop from the upper half just above the sky light of the first one. I posted it to show how detailed that crop is and has enough pixels to print a 8X10 print. No post processing involved, just crop.

Thank you David. I rented that lens to shoot a (South Indian Traditional) dance performance. Will post some of those later after clearing with the dancer and her parents.
