Note that the place they are jumping off The Wall into the water it is only about 3 feet deep. They wait until a wave comes along so that for a few instants the water is deeper.

All of the jumpers in these threads are photos over the last 4+ years. There is only about a 10 degree fahrenheit difference in afternoon temperatures in the summer and winter here so people are swimming, surfing, and doing other water sports year round.
