Tsuyoshi Kikukawa has stepped down as Olympus chairman in the wake a scandal over advisory fees triggered by the sacking of the firm's British chief executive.

Happy times at Olympus "It follows a blistering personal attack yesterday by Mr Kikukawa on the chief executive-turned-whistleblower in an email to staff in Japan, in which he described allegations about the company's $1.5bn (£939m) of "improper payments" as "aberrant" and "unforgivable".

He went on to accuse Mr Woodford of deliberately trying to damage the company's reputation."

Worth reading in total. Who wants to purchase this company now???
