I was a bit jelous to see that other members are posting wildflowers. We have a very cold winter here, in Leipzig (Germany). But it gives also some nice photo opportunity. Yesterday there was a bit of fressh snow on the trees, so I snapped the vcl-ecf1 fisheye converter to my 16mm lens on nex-5 and tried to compose some tree crowns:
Very nice Marcell. I really like the detail you have got using the fish-eye adapter. Great perspectives in both shots. I like the hint of blue in the sky with the sun catching the white tree-tops as well. Looks like it was a great day to be out in the woods
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
Thanks for the nice comments. It was a nice sunny but very cold day (-15). My original plan was to take macro photos of snowflakes but I missed the early morning opportunity, so I went to the forest with the fisheye adapter. There is CA in the corners, so this set up is far from perfection. I have the optically better sigma 15mm fisheye that has a 180 degree only on fullframe, so it's difficult to compare. It's still one of my favorite lenses (set with this lens: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21017948@N ... 587344651/
However, considering the price of the adapter, I'm very happy with it despite some optical errors. Maybe the new rokinon 8mm will be better (samyang).
