The frogs have started to get romantic in my pond. About the same time as last year – how do they know?
They are mostly small frogs - no big females as yet. Sometimes the smaller male hitches a ride on the female before they get to the pond – just to make sure. It’s absolute chaos when it really kicks off – like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Not sure if this is two males

I was laid on the soggy grass on a dust sheet (which wasn't waterproof) but although some of the frogs plop underwater not all do. I moved slowly and without casting a shadow and inched forwards once on the ground - letting the frogs accept the camera as part of the surroundings. Our frogs are quite easy - sitting targets, really. I got so close my 90mm Tamron macro ceased focusing and I had to move back a little. Must have been only cms away from the full head shots. I was only out about 10 - 15 minutes. The patience on approach usually pays off.

Excellent - you noticed It's one of my quirks to get myself in a photograph ie mirror or eyes. The 'Old Masters' of painting often did it - not that I'm an old master. Old but not under any illusions as to my status I'll put a horse eye on here that I did last year when I get chance - you can see the dog as well

Concentrating on the very interesting eye structures of the frogs is smart. They indeed have a large estate of eye ball where the photographer can mirror oneself. You're outlined nicely in a couple of the shots.
It's one of my quirks to get myself in a photograph ie mirror or eyes. The 'Old Masters' of painting often did it - not that I'm an old master. Old but not under any illusions as to my status 
I'll put a horse eye on here that I did last year when I get chance - you can see the dog as well
