Honestly, Mike, this one is better than the other cropped B&W version. 
Reasons:
1/ More coverage of the life on the Nile.
2/ Inclusion of the adobe arhitecture enhances the washday just like the decor of a stageplay would the actual script.
3/ We actually see that there's litter on the banks of the Nile where women are washing the clothes whereas in the other version they melt into the terrain and are unrecognizable.
4/ The boat, the anchorage iron and the date palms make the scene a whole.
Thanks for sharing this one with us and thanks to Dr. Harout for requiring to see the uncropped version. : )) The scene made much more sense now. Everything pertains to Egyptian lifestyle on the Nile now.
