Thanks to those that commented. It was a long week. We are both exhausted. As all are, the funeral was very emotional. Her family is very close and it showed this week. I am very proud to be a part of this special group of people.
The deceased's father was a prominent photographer in his day and thus all of their lives were captured on film and now digital files. It came as no surprise that everything had to be photographed. At first I was uncomfortable, but that quickly subsided. Together, we shot over 400 images in 2 days. Heart wrenching as they were, they show true sorrow and true loss. They remind me of how precious life is and how important it is to remember that.
I will not post those shots as it seems unfair to the family and this board. I will leave you with one image that ties this thread up nicely. I will take this thread down in a couple of days.
Thanks to all.
