across the bay in mono

I do, although I find their is too much dark in the frame. I very much like what you see in the distant, from the road leading up to the lighthouse and beyond. The lighting surrounding the lighthouse like an aura is fantastic! I would personally crop out most of the rocks in the foreground. Nonetheless, great conversion!

I think I agree with Mark - the foreground is a bit "samey" in this B&W conversion - for me anyway

I like your mono and colour shots of the same scene.... but I believe the type of scenes that you shoot may deserve a pano approach instead: I think the sky is too clipped, the reason being; while te foregrundis so rich with colourful rock formations and plants with some curving shapes the sky would deserve an equal spatial estate at the upper parts of the frame...

When I look at these lovely Bay shots, I get the impression that the frame is cut too short when my eyes stretch out towards the horizon, the lighthouse and the beautiful sky. : )

I am with Mark too. The foreground is dominating the lighthouse. I am struggling to keep my eyes on the lighthouse as a focal point
but the "sameness" (as Birma put it) of the "dark matter" is pulling me to the foreground. I like the conversion for one reason though,
the cars are not as distinct as they were in the color. That I like very much.

I think you should crop off some of the bottom and make a Pano.
