Hi folks.. long time no see you great people... Been soooooo busy lately.. Btw, managed to get a very good copy of a Beercan at a very good price..hope it will be the catapult for my Minolta adventure.. Will stay with my A550 for a long time i guess.. So, enjoy you great people...(some PP is involved.. but the colors ,i've tried to remain:) )
Very successful shots with the new Beercan, Shahrulz.
I love the vivid colours and the apparent bokeh in al the shots... The selection of the subjects is smart as well as casual as can be seen in the expression of the boy.
Hi Sharulz, great to see you back, and congratulations on the new Beercan - you have great bokeh in those shots as Yildiz says. It seems to fit well with your A550
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
A very stunning set Shahrulz. #2 and #4 are unbelievable! John
If the last thing you remember hearing is somebody yelling 'CLEAR!!!', assume you've had a problem!!
a77, a700, a200, Minolta 8000i, NEX C3, NEX 5N and more lenses than my wife suspects!
David,
That is very useful piece of information for me. May be a list of lenses and a line or two about what they are best for,
would help people like me tremendously.

That would be a very long list! Often, it is more what they are not so good for. For example, the 18-200mm is not as good as the 18-250mm for long distance and close up work. The newer lens has a better look to the image close up, and it's sharper at the long end at distance too. And the 70-200mm SSM G is very poor for close-ups despite focusing fairly close, but fine around 6-10ft for portraits.
The 70-210mm AF is great for its close range, as you can see from countless flower and portrait shots people take. It's just got a bokeh and way of rendering focus front and back of the focus plane which works well.
David,
Thank you. In that case I will settle for the insightful snippets like these. Even if a list that says what a lens is not good for, assuming
the list is reasonable enough is still a useful thing. After all experience is not only knowing what to do, also what NOT to do.
