I love the lighting on the first one and explosion of color in the next two. The vase edges in the first one are distracting me away from the
Rose in the first one for me, though.

Looking at your Oxeye daisies, I think you can get some wonderful captures if you were to
try focus stacking. Just a suggestion.

Congratulations on the new lens Dennis. Wonderful shots. I especially like the first one. What are your first impressions of the lens ?

Good idea on photo-stacking Sury. I was thinking the same thing. I will look in to getting a focus rail for my tripod I think.

I especially liked the first and the third but the second is also very nice. As everyone pointed out, the bokeh is very smooth.

A couple of flower close-ups using some new extension tubes I have bought to use with my MD lenses.

The lens was extremely close to the subject in both shots, in fact it was inside the rose petals! I can see that it is going to take some experimentation to work-out what extensions work best with which lenses.

Birma, you did use a tripod, didn't you?

Hi Doc - I was just expermenting briefly so I didn't use a tripod . I just focused by rocking to and fro - the pictures are probably not as good as can be achieved via a tripod, but I tried to keep the shutter speed high to compensate.
