Interesting perspective Birma I like the second one especially, great exposure control.
You can use a tripod as a bipod too sometimes (if the flowers are at a convenient height)

Birma used Biped mode (don't we all).....
Birma, I loved the second one very much. That is usually my technique too. My wife often thinks I am going into a trance when I do close up shoots.

The forecast was for a sunny start to the day and so I made a return visit to me favourite patch of meadow. It was a beautiful morning and the sunshine allowed me to capture some shots with more contrast than in my previous visit.

Thanks Greg. Yes, it's the Hawks Beard that has a thistle like seed head, a bit like a very tall, small headed dandelion. The grass is going to seed as well.

That's a very nice flower Dusty. I also like the picture of your girls in the flower garden - it looks like a wild flower meadow with the colours disappearing off in to the distance

Hi guys (and gals),

This is something I wanted to do for a long time, and now I can! This is my first timelapse. I shot 260 shots over 5 hours of a blossoming orchid. This is the result. I'm pleased with the result, only the last frame is a bit quircky, but acceptable for a first go. I can tell you one thing, it's a hell of a lot of work!

260 images you say? No wonder the Orchid opens up so smoothly with no staggering or distracting abrupt transition.
