Very sweet background and bokeh, Mark. : )
Brlliantly focused on the butterfly to bring all the details of the wings and head.

Congratulations...

Thank you again Yildiz.

This picture gives me the feeling I'm secretly peeking at the butterfly, because everything is a blur whirling around the one leaf the butterfly is sitting on. That's what I personally like about this image.

Aptly observed. Exactly my thoughts. Only you put it nicely in words... : )

That you are in the shade and the butterfly is backlit also enhances the 'feel' of peeking secretly.

Thanks for sharing, : )

Beautiful shots Mark- Number one is outstanding, and a view I've never really seen photographed. Well done. John

That's a pretty one Mark, quite hairy for a butterfly, some moths are hairy too, but that's a butterfly though, and yes the larger shot looks better.

How did I skip this gorgeous find of the blue butterfly!

Very nice, Mark. The bigger file shows all the nice details. The white brimming around the blue also adds to the beauty.

While I was out shooting birds, I was amazed at how many butterflies were out and about in the field.

Hi Mark - those are all fabulous, although #1, #2, and #3 stand out for me as they are also lovely flower shots :) . Really nice sharp pictures of the butterflies, and flowers, with great buttery smooth backgrounds as well.

Well done, Mark. : )

With their rather plain colouring they indeed can camouflage pretty easily in their natural surroundings compared to the other more colourfully donned ones of the earlier shootings.
I'm amazed at how close you get to where they rest. The ones I chased in Istanbul can really move fast... : ) Hard to shoot.

We also saw a rather nice Red Admiral, but it wouldn't sit still at all :x

Both with A700 and beercan.
