Teton Landscape

When I visited the Tetons this spring, persistent storms obscured the mountains for most of my trip. Finally, late one evening, the clouds lifted and the sun broke through, backlighting the trees with new spring foliage. (The darker trees are evergreen conifers.) This is my first attempt with HDR. Frankly, I do not like the harsh artificiality of HDR and tried to tone it down, but it was useful under these light conditions of a very bright lower sky and barely lit mountains and valley.

Wow!hiccup! In general I agree with you on HDR. But this shot is dramatic!hiccup! I am visualizing this one as a 36x24 print
in a gallery stopping people in their tracks. I am talking purely from a visceral reaction rather than technical points of view.

HDR is usually a bit of a mouthful for me as well, but I like the dramatic view in that one.

The HDR is a bit much for me, looks too surreal, but you managed to get the intended effect! For that it's a great image!
