Sury, the lens I was referring to is the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* DT 16-80 F3.5-4.5 SAL-1680CZ
with the Doc's lens would be about $150 more than just the 24-70

Mea culpa. You are suggesting I get a 1680CZ AND 24f2 for couple of hundred more than
it costs a CZ24-70. Since 1680 is DT lens, which means A900 becomes a 12MP camera with
that lens, right? On the other hand, wouldn't I be in lens heaven if I were to get 2470 AND 24f2?
Just thinking aloud.
But that would be a significant investment and one that will last a lifetime, I am
sure.
