Here are some shots that I took back at the start of November for the Autumn colour challenge, but I never got further than taking the pictures
It was a rare sunny, blue-sky day so Tilly and I took the opportunity to pop to this great little wood that has some fantastic mature beech and oak trees. As the afternoon wore on there was a succession of photographers who, I suspect, were on the way home from work, noticed the weather, and dashed for this well known spot with easy access. I hope we didn't get in the way of anyone else's shots
These are beautiful pictures of Piper's Hill. I wonder where it is. Searching in Google my vote goes to a place in Worcestershire http://www.wildlifeextra.com/go/uk/Pipers-Hill.html#cr but I may be completely wrong. Also I would very much appreciate if the camera and lens are disclosed. Thanks for the posting Birma.
The wood is owned and managed by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust. It is a great location as it has many 'veteran' beech and oak trees and one of the easiest places around here to get that beech wood look. There is also a handy pond.
I always try and put the camera and lens details with pictures. This was with the Sony Nex 5 and Sony DT 16-80 F3.5-4.5 ZA mounted via the Sony LA-EA2 adapter. This is my preferred wide angle / tripod set up at the moment; the flip up screen and fabulous live view with focus assist is brilliant IMHO.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
