This is my little Grandson who is 18 months old. I saw him being born and I help to look after him when his Mum and Dad's work shifts don't fit in - which is quite frequently. He's adorable....... Well I think so.

You were right the first time , Suri! I didn't explain well? There was light from the window but I also dropped the top of the 'soft frost' (doesn't fall apart like tissue) to introduce more light over the eyes. I was wondering how you got that bright light from a flash so even in shape. It is other way around.
You used the natural light to light up the forehead and the subdued diffused light to light up the rest
of the image. I am glad I asked.As a rule I seldom use direct flash as well. I learned that long time ago.
Facial tissue is my favorite handy "poor man's" diffuser.
