Tokina 28-70/2.6-2.8 Angenieux inspired

I'm at present selling some older glass and upgrading. I've sold off a lot of my older Minolta glass and just purchased the 16-35/2.8. That has allowed me to put my KM 17-35 up for sale. Next purchase will be the 24-70/2.8. I have the KM 28-70 and a Tokina 28-70/2.6-2.8 first version from Japan that was from the Angenieux design (last zoom he designed) that Tokina purchased. This is really a great lens, far better than the later Tokina versions, e.g. Pro ll. It really performs well and colours are top rate. I've decided to keep until I get the Zeiss this and sell the KM. I read Angenieux also designed a 28-70 minolta lens where performance was great but build not so. Does anyone else have and appreciate this early Tokina? It is the non-Pro one with the screw in metal hood.

I'm looking for a lens hood for my KM 17-35 as I lost the original and used ones are as rare as Rocking horse -----.
Any suggestions for a simple screw in hood that won't cause vignetting.

I used it, on Nikon mount, I bought it when it arrives to Buenos Aires in 1992 (for 800$, I have no idea of what was the price in the USA for that lens) and it was my main lens for years until my equipment got stolen in Cannes in 2001 or 2002... definitely a great lens, ubersharp at f8 and nice contrast overall -different from the quality that Nikon lenses provide. It would be nice to see results on a 24mp camera, and compare its qualities with Minolta or Sony lenses...
